Peter Samoray currently serves in the manufacturing sector as a Senior Security and Compliance Program Manager. He is responsible for the development and implementation of organizational data privacy/security policies and practices, working across business groups to drive data security/privacy compliance excellence across the security continuum.
Prior to his current role, he served as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the retail sector addressing enterprise wide security, privacy, and compliance. Peter is an active member in several organizations (IAPP, ISACA, ISC2, PMI, HTCIA, ISSA), currently focused on both privacy and security and has managed ITAR, GLBS, HIPAA, PCI, DFAR, and GDPR initiatives.
Peter has a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Detroit-Mercy, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University, and a Certificate in Change Leadership from Cornell University.
